Established to honor Dorothy Ann Edwards. Dorothy came from a humble beginning. She understood the importance of education and hard work at a young age. As the oldest child, she was the "rock" of her family and strived to ensure that her siblings knew they were loved and had the potential to be great. Dorothy Ann Edwards was an outstanding and selfless woman who believed that helping others help themselves was God's plan for her.
The purpose of the DAES is to provide financial and character-building support to individuals who have shown a career interest in the social sciences field and an appetite to understand and act on their legacy as change agents. Particularly those who have a strong desire to become confident, capable, and civic-minded leaders looking to drive economic and political empowerment, peace with justice, and new domestic and foreign policies, all of which are critical and central to social change within themselves, their communities, and the nation.
Enspire Foundation has established two mentoring programs to carryout Dorothy Ann Edwards’s calling to help others help themselves. Enspire believes that everyone has the potential to be great and should know they are loved. The Middle and High School Student Mentorship and Professional Mentorship Programs are how Enspire Foundation supports these deeply rooted beliefs.
